Time is that
immaterial entity which controls our lives. It can make our lives
short or long, but actually it only goes by, with its inexorable
passage. What is more, our minds adapt themselves for our pace of
life which is like a mill wheel or like a succession of cogwheels
according to some ancient civilizations.
However, having grounds for theory of
physics by Albert Einstein, the speed of the light is a universal
constant, in other words it doesn’t depend on the system of
reference, it is absolute and any other magnitude can change its
value depending on the system of reference.
Taking several
equalities and being ‘c’
the
speed of the light and ‘v’ the speed of the system of reference,
we get this equalities for length and mass:
L
ength
l’ = l √ (1-v2/c2)
And using the
transformation of Lorentz, and so on we get the following equality
for the time, having x values of length:
Time t’ = (t -
vx/c2)/
√ (1-v2/c2)
Oversimplifying,
apart from physics considerations, time is not absolute according to
the theory of the physics. Fortunately or unfortunately, we cannot
notice it every
day
because we would need to travel with a speed in the order of speed of
light.
In my opinion, it’s true that time
seems to slow down when we do activities that we don’t like and it
flies when we are enjoying with something, but this is only an effect
of our own mind.
To sum up, more
research needs to be done and more theories as ‘strings theory’
must be developed, and great minds like Einstein, Hawking, Susskind,
Written or Lanza are necessary, in order to find the ultimate true
about time. That is why we don’t even know the one per cent of all
that we could know; therefore human being has a long, hard and
amazing task ahead.
